There Are No Great Secrets to Affiliate Marketing

There are no great secrets to affiliate marketing, just create a website for each product you are promoting. Affiliate marketers can join numerous programs and sell other companies products to earn money every day. It can be done just by simply creating a simple web page with the information people are looking for. What other business can you choose which company you want to sell a product for without an interview?

100billb.jpgBefore you start you will need to have a product to market so how do you go about this task? Before you do this you would be wise to carefully read the terms and conditions of the company you want to sign up with; failure to do this can cost dearly. If you are taking your business seriously then this is something you would do in the ordinary world so do not be fooled by the ease with which the virtual world appears to work. It is not uncommon for there to be restrictions where you can be located to get paid and there have been instances where people have been accepted to programs and not been paid because they do not live in an approved location.

Be wary of affiliate programs that pay less than fifty percent commission unless you can guarantee a high turnover. Still one of the best affiliate marketing resources is Clickbank.com where there is information and products listed in categories and links to the sales page of the product being sold. Almost all reputable affiliate programs will allow you to join them at no charge (not even an admin fee) so be very careful handing over money to any company that says you need to pay them a single registration fee. The majority of programs will use Paypal or Clickbank and both are trustworthy so to ensure you are covered, register with both systems as it is free. While you are still in the early stages of creating an affiliate marketing business it is best to stick with what is safe until you have the experience to experiment with other payment methods.

When you are new at marketing affiliate products there is a great deal to learn, but take heart as there are a huge number of free resources, ebooks and websites, to help just do not try to take in too much at once. These e books can be a mine of information and will contain many useful urls, however some will link to sites that want you to purchase something; whether you do or not is up to you. The best advice is to try using as many techniques as possible that are free while you are learning and only start spending money once you start earning some. This is a way for a trust to be built up between the developer or writer and you as the consumer.

For the best exposure of your affiliate marketing campaign, use alternative sources of advertising, do not restrict your efforts to purely online methods. The purpose behind this is to direct traffic to your website where a certain percentage of people will place an order. To find out where your affiliate marketing efforts are best spent you will need to track where the traffic to your site is coming from and stick to those methods. The potential income that can be derived for affiliate marketing is huge with so many companies to choose from. Do not spend too much time learning about this because some people become permanent learners, never actually doing anything to ear money.

Maximum Downline Retention With MLM Training

mlm trainingIf you are in the MLM business, you would have experienced this frustrating problem where you recruit one person and it seems that two others would leave. You probably have wondered why it is so difficult to get your MLM downline to stay active and increase your downline retention rate.

We focus all of our time and effort on the toughest parts of building the MLM business, which is recruiting new downline members. Yet we forget to take action on the easiest and most important part: following-up on our existing downline members.

Your goal for your MLM business should be to improve the downline retention in your team and to be a strong leader for your downline. Let’s take a look at three critical strategies which you can incorporate in your MLM training to make sure your downline stays active for years and not months.

Firstly, follow-up is following-through. Just because someone signs up in your MLM Company does not mean the sale is complete and you can forget about it the next day. You have to follow-up with your new downline member within five days. Make an effort to call them within five days to ensure they are happy, are happy with the product and they will appreciate it. If they want to build the business, make sure that the resources are available to them. Remember that helping them is equivalent to helping yourself. Besides phone calling, you can automate your followup process with weekly newsletter. This can be easily setup with an autoresponder program.

Secondly, you could keep a database on members in your MLM downline because as your business grows, it will become hard to keep all downline data and their individual needs in your head. You have to create customer information such as their goals, accomplishments or even something that is not related to your business. I assure you that they will be really surprised and impressed when you can still “remember” their personal information when you follow up. The Dream Team Formula back office offers you exactly that, you can add downlines to unlimited levels and email them through our hosted solution.

Lastly, you could develop a close relationship with your downline. Try to be genuine in your concern for your members and show them that you are their friend, not just in it to get their money. If you provide great value through concern for them as a friend and deliver high quality customer service, you will find your members working hard and staying active as long as you want.

If you want an active and profitable downline in your MLM business, remember in your heart that how much you can earn will be in direct proportion to your personal follow-up.

My Top 10 Reasons For Blogging

myblog.gifGet Your Blog On!

I have been looking around at different Blogs today, and ran across a Post on Darren Rowse’s ProBlogger that thought was quite interesting. He basically talked about a couple things, Emerging New Trends In Blogging and Common Traits Of Successful Bloggers.

Rowes was talking about new Bloggers getting started today, and comparing it to when he got started 5 years ago. This got me thinking, you know not everyone is cut out to be a Professional Blogger, it takes a lot of skills and perseverance, to attract an audience, and build your own following. Plus it’s a lot of work!

I am convinced that Blogging is not just for the Pro-Bloggers. Blogging is for everyone, and you don’t have to worry about being all fancy, professional, and everything. The key is, just get it out there, get posting, and have fun with it.

Using Social Bookmarking to Earn Money Online

social_bookmark.gifWhile there are countless marketing methods online, few of them level the playing field the way social bookmarking does. Internet marketers who work at home who want to increase their website traffic, so they can earn money online, have become highly smitten with the concept of social bookmarking. However, with all marketing methods there are dos and don’ts that can greatly affect the final outcome of success.

First a brief explanation of what social bookmarking is. Social bookmarking is a way for surfers to find, save, organize, and share their bookmarks of different pages. Contrary to automated resource classification software social bookmarking sites are arranged by humans rather than computerized algorithms. Thus, sites that have more human votes or bookmarks are deemed more valuable than their highly ranked search engine counterparts.

One of the most common social bookmarking mistakes is adding every icon out there to your website or blog. Believe it or not you are not increasing your chances of getting bookmarked. Too many options confuse users. Instead, choose the bookmarking service of communities that best resonates with your reader. If you’re still determined to cater to everyone then opt for a bookmark that drops down or folds out but hides the other options. Another common mistake is heavily submitting your own content.

Submitting your own content seems like the best way to get people in touch with your information, but community users can smell a promoter from a mile away. If every bookmark in your file is of your own brand, you not only look desperate, you also look phony. Can you still submit your site? Yes, I’m not saying don’t bookmark your site. But bookmark and vote on other content as well. Also if you are going to be part of the community and promote your site avoid using your brand or company name as your user name. Try to sound as generic as possible.

Social bookmarking benefits those who put “being popular” and earning money online aside for a minute, and instead focus on genuine participation rather than ridiculous conversation. The truth is many social bookmarking platforms can function without conversation. After all we have forums and live chat for that.

Social media is about the sharing of information. That means that your press releases are not going to fair too well in a community where people are eager to learn or keep up with gossip, and as a reminder all users of social media want this, more importantly though, social media is about the democratization of content. It puts users in control and this is perhaps why it can level out the marketing playing field.

In order to benefit, you have to actively participate by submitting and voting on content that matters to you and other users. You also need to help users along by submitting comments more meaningful than “that was the best article ever!” Like all communities there are those who make an effort to keep it thriving and those who are “just there.” And users can sense it if your just another work at home marketer using them to earn money online and do this by working at home.

Horrible Article for Work From Home Seekers

homorsimpson.gifI was checking out Yahoo news today and came across an article they are posting from their “Shine” division.  It is written by an apparent novice, or rookie journalist.  I did the ole Homer Simpson when I read this.  Here is the link to the article:

http://shine.yahoo.com/channel/money/how-to-tell-a-work-from-home-scam-from-a-gem-179431/

Read down through the 5th paragraph and you will see some garabage statement like this:  “Multi-level marketing, also known as pyramid schemes, are another work-at-home scam to avoid. Multi-level marketing can work when real products are sold through at-home parties, for example. But many just rely on people recruiting other people to pay into the scheme with few or no products sold. Stay away.”

Here was my reply:  “Dory Devlin needs to get her facts straight before writing an article. Your comment “Multi-level marketing, also known as pyramid schemes, are another work-at-home scam to avoid.” is one of the worst journalistic statements I have seen in a long time.

Pyramid schemes are illegal in all 50 states and most countries. MLM is not. There are some MLM companies that are less than scrupulous, but there are some that are exceptional. This is true in any industry, food, oil, health, technology, etc.

Your blanket statement (one of the sleaziest forms of journalism) is like saying, because Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens are cheaters, then all baseball players, and for that matter, all athletes are cheaters. Or, because one journalist makes unsubstantiated claims, then all journalists are bad.

Anyway, let me say two things: 1) The idea of this article is a good one, especially as people are looking for ways to make an extra buck in this economy. It just needs to be screened by a more qualified editor. 2) In case you’re wondering, “no” I am not in any MLM company. I work from home, but do not participate in any such company. I just hate to see misinformation.”

If you think it’s a piece of garbage, let her know.  Post a comment on this blog and at the website above.

According to work-at-home guidelines, one should avoid home equity loans and in fact all those loans that cannot be considered secured loans, even if they are college loans.
