Choosing an MLM CompanyBy Rich Niccolls Those who wish to work a network marketing program have a large number of companies from which to choose. So when choosing from the many companies out there, what should you be looking for I believe there are five key ingredients to any top level network marketing program.
First, you need to go with you what you like. If you don't want to sell soap, then don't. Make a short list of things you like. For example, if you like travel, nutrition, and health, then that narrows down the list. However, there may be something out there that you are not aware of yet. The key here is to not do something you don't wan to do.
Second, there needs to be a system in place. The system has to be a proven system in which you can build your downline. It should help you market your products, educate prospects, and present it all in a professional manner. This system should involve a way for you to use leads so you can constantly be reaching out to new prospects. It should also have a means in which to train and educate new distributors so they can begin growing their business right away too.
On top of this, being supplied with high quality marketing materials is essential. You need outstanding web sites, full color brochures, professional DVD's, etc. If a network marketing company doesn't offer this... move on.
Third, the MLM company should have first class customer service for both you and your prospects. Nothing makes things easier than a staff of customer support who are equipped and curtious. If the customer support is weak or non-existent... move on.

company you choose should not have you buy, stock and ship any products. You don't need to be filling your closet, garage, or basement full of products. Most companies don't have you do this anymore. One of the outstanding components of a good network marketing company is to be able to have an efficient and reliable way to move product, both online and through phone ordering.
Fifth, you will hear some people say you should join a company when it is new, a ground floor opportunity. Well, if you like bungee jumping on broken bungees and jumping out of airplanes without your backup chute, go ahead. I cannot recommend more highly that you need to avoid companies that are less than five years old. Why? Because there is a 95% chance your MLM company will be closed in the first 5 years. Don't buy the lie that you need to get in at the beginning. If the opportunity is great at 1 year, it should still be great at 5 years too.
The bottom line is finding an MLM company to work with is not luck. It takes research on your part. You must be willing to ask a lot of people questions, and be willing to tell many of them no as you look for the right business. You will enjoy your business more, and undoubtedly, be much more successful in the world of network mareketing.
