$297 And A Plane Ticket
One of the things I have been able to do over the last 7 years is meet hundreds and hundreds of people from a variety of work-from-home companies. Most of them are involved in some type of network marketing or multilevel marketing company.
Of the people I have met, my best guess is that less than 10% of them truly have a clue about what they need to do to build, develop, grow, sustain, manage, and otherwise enjoy a lively, thriving business from home. And, 10% may be optimistic.
That may seem harsh, but the reality is that very few of them were ever trained to survive on their own. They were trained to be employees in their high schools and colleges.
I talk to all kinds of people at church, neighbors, and other people I bump into about my working from home, running my own business, and that I have been doing it full-time for most of the 21st century. Without exception, they all tell me they wish they could do that too, want to run a business idea by me, or talk about enjoying the freedom that I have. BUT, I know that none of them could really swing it.
That’s not arrogant… that’s just a fact. They have the employee mindset engrained within them that governs how they work. Here is a short list of the employee mindset that I am talking about:
- Not willing to take a risk. Very conservative.
- Will keep on doing what they have been doing because they are stuck, and duty to their job is more important than their desire to be their own boss.
- They whine and complain about the boss-man, their hours, their tasks, their lack of promotion, etc.
- They expect handouts and benefits rather than getting what they have worked for and deserve.
The last two – whining and false expectations are probably the biggest. The first two can be overcome easier. But, all four can be overcome.
Listen closely.
Our schools, culture, parents, and jobs have pounded into our heads what it is to be an employee. If you truly want to break through, and not be a part of the 90% that I talked about above who really have no clue about what to do, where to go, etc. then there is one piece of advice, and one piece only that I would advise.
Do not spend one more dollar on leads, systems, programs, a new business, or anything. STOP SPENDING MONEY NOW on all these other things.
Instead, you need to spend $297 and a plane ticket and attend the next Dani Johnson “First Steps To Success” seminar.
